Recorded From WOR-FM in Glorious High Fidelity!!! They Sound Like They Were Recorded
Yesterday!
Fascinating show excerpts mostly from a Saturday afternoon (12:15 to 2 PM) 2-hour series
Due to the recording format (1800' reels that hold somewhat more than 90 minutes per
track), very few of these tapes contain complete programs, but only as much as would fit
on the tape. I have transferred the tapes directly as I got them, complete with all the
news of the day, read by great radio announcer Dwight Weist, in order to preserve the
historic context. All tape starts, stops, and edits are as laid down by the original home
taper, Howie Mann, who graciously gave me the reels. Some of the shows are listed out of
sequence. This is due to my desire to fully preserve these recordings intact. Where
possible I have made each tape self-contained, but the last few tapes run together, so
take note of the tape contents in order to get complete shows. Or just get the whole set!
